FxMurphy presents a new body of work at Townhall Arts Centre in September 2024. The work is a response to the efficacy of colonialism, a construct that still seems to pervade and inform our world despite a presumed demise. A simple strategy that one might employ to grapple with such a big notion is to localise it, to see what has happened in your own Parish, on the small stage, among your neighbours and to imagine some unrealised responses.
The work takes the form of drawings, painted objects and photographic images.
